What would it mean to speak from your soul — not your fear?
This August, I’ve been on a journey of using my voice more boldly and intentionally. And I’ve invited my community to join me through my 20-Day Social Media Challenge, where we explore liberation, confidence, self-expression, and connection to our highest self.
This challenge isn’t about being loud. It’s about being honest. It’s about noticing when your voice gets small, when fear or trauma tells you to shrink — and choosing, day by day, to come back to your truth.
Whether you're a first-gen professional, a high-achieving Black or Brown woman, or someone trying to reconnect to their inner voice after years of code-switching, people-pleasing, or silence — this month is for you.
🔊 Your Voice Is More Than Sound
In Internal Family Systems (IFS), we know that every part of you has a story, a belief, a wound — and often, a voice that was silenced to survive.
Using your voice is an act of self-energy. It’s a sacred homecoming. When you speak from your core — not your protector parts — you invite others to do the same.
This journey requires more than affirmations. It asks for healing. For connection. For deep inner listening.
And if you’ve ever wondered why your throat feels tight when you want to speak up? That’s not a coincidence. That’s the throat chakra — the energy center that governs your communication, your truth, and your boundaries — calling out for attention.
💫 Tools for Reclaiming Your Voice
Here are a few practices I’ve included in this month’s challenge that you can return to anytime:
🌀 Somatic Interventions
Throat-Opening Breathwork:
Inhale deeply through your nose.
On the exhale, hum audibly to vibrate your throat and chest. Repeat 7x.
This activates your vagus nerve and opens the throat chakra.
“I Am” Mirror Ritual:
Stand in front of a mirror and speak your truth aloud.
Use phrases like “I am allowed to take up space” or “My voice is worthy even when it trembles.”
Vocal Sound Release:
Set a timer for 2 minutes and allow yourself to make uninhibited sound — hum, sigh, whisper, moan. Let your body speak without censoring.
🌺 Spiritual Practices
Throat Chakra Visualization
Envision a glowing blue light at your throat. See it expanding as you breathe.
Imagine it clearing blockages as you say aloud:
“I trust my voice. I speak my truth with love. My words create liberation.”
Sacred Journaling with Higher Self
Ask your higher self:
“What truth have I been afraid to speak?”“How does my voice serve my healing and my legacy?”
Write without judgment. Let it flow

📝 Reflection Questions
Use these as journaling prompts or bring them into your next therapy session:
When did I first learn to silence my voice?
Which parts of me fear rejection when I speak up?
Where in my body do I feel the urge to speak but also the fear of doing so?
What truths do I want to share — even if my voice shakes?
What’s one small way I can use my voice more courageously this week?
